Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited Confirmed for Western Release in 2027

Following its official release in Japan, Neptunia Unlimited is finally heading west. Titled Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited, the game is scheduled to launch internationally in 2027, marking the franchise’s newest mainline entry in more than 15 years since Megadimension Neptunia VII.

Alongside returning fan-favorite characters, the game introduces several new faces inspired by modern gaming platforms. These include Rouge / Red Heart, representing Nintendo Switch; Ciel / Blue Heart, representing PlayStation 5; and Anna and Lot / Eclipse Heart, representing Xbox Series X|S.

Their introduction could also open the door for these characters to appear in future Neptunia titles, including potential spin-offs.

A New Action RPG Direction for Neptunia

The game retains the franchise’s signature approach to parodying the gaming industry, blending references and satire with a humorous, imaginative story.

One of the biggest changes compared with previous entries is its combat system. Rather than relying on traditional turn-based battles, Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited adopts a format closer to an action RPG, offering a more dynamic approach to combat.

Players can also explore the world through free flight after transforming into their goddess forms, adding another layer to the game’s exploration.

Coming to PlayStation, Switch 2, and PC

Hyperspace Neptunia: Unlimited is planned for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC in 2027.

With major new releases increasingly moving away from PlayStation 4, the decision to retain support for the platform is noteworthy. Compile Heart and Idea Factory International deserve recognition for continuing to include PS4 players in their release plans.

More information about the Western launch, including its exact release date and regional details, is expected to be announced in the future.
