Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3 Officially Announced for PS5 and PC With Cross-Play Support

Following an earlier listing leak, Bandai Namco has officially announced Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3, the latest free-to-play team-based combat game in the Battle Operation series. Developed by Bandai Namco Forge Digitals, the game is planned for PlayStation 5 and PC, featuring cross-play support between both platforms.

However, the publisher has yet to confirm an official release date.

Team-Based Mobile Suit Battles and Tactical Objectives

Like its predecessors, Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3 puts players in the role of mercenaries who pilot various Mobile Suits across battlefields set in the Mobile Suit Gundam universe.

Combat emphasizes teamwork and selecting the right Mobile Suit for each encounter. Every unit comes with different weapons and abilities, allowing players to engage opponents through both long-range and close-quarter combat.

Players will also be able to leave their Mobile Suits and participate directly as infantry pilots. Certain battlefield objectives require them to perform specific tasks, including planting bombs at enemy bases, requesting support fire, and securing strategic locations.

Gundam Series From Universal Century and Alternative Timelines

The game will feature Mobile Suits from several Gundam productions, including titles from the Universal Century timeline such as Mobile Suit Gundam, Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, and Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.

Beyond Universal Century, the lineup will also include entries from Alternative timelines, with Mobile Suit Gundam SEED confirmed among the featured series.

Bandai Namco additionally plans to introduce two to three more Alternative series during the first year following launch.

Outside combat missions, players can visit Base Camp, a social hub where they can gather and interact with other players before heading into their next battle.

Japan Testing Planned for November 2026

Before the official launch, Bandai Namco will hold dedicated testing sessions in Japan on November 20 and November 22, 2026.

The development team is also planning an open network test that will allow a wider group of players to participate. However, its schedule and regional availability have not yet been announced. More information regarding the testing program and official release date for Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3 is expected to be shared in future announcements.
