Grand Theft Auto VI has reportedly generated more than $750 million in digital pre-orders, just two weeks before its highly anticipated release on November 19, 2026. According to market research firm Sensor Tower, the game has amassed an estimated 7.71 million pre-orders across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The figures have not been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive. Sensor Tower’s estimate also excludes physical pre-orders.
PlayStation Accounts for Most Pre-Orders
Sensor Tower estimates that PlayStation accounts for approximately 74% of GTA VI’s digital pre-orders. That represents around 5.74 million copies and an estimated $559 million in revenue.
Xbox accounts for the remaining 26%, with approximately 1.97 million copies generating an estimated $192 million.
The latest estimate marks an increase of roughly $121 million compared with Sensor Tower’s figures from October 20, suggesting that interest in the game has continued to grow as launch approaches.
GTA VI Could Be Heading Toward Another Record
For comparison, Grand Theft Auto V generated more than $800 million in worldwide sales within its first 24 hours following its September 2013 release. The game subsequently surpassed $1 billion in sales within three days.
With GTA VI reportedly approaching its predecessor’s first-day revenue milestone before launch, Rockstar’s next entry could be heading toward another historic commercial debut. However, pre-order estimates should not be treated as confirmed sales figures, and the final launch performance remains to be seen.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
