The revival of Destiny Child has received a major update, with Com2uS confirming that Destiny Child: Assemble is scheduled to launch on Android and iOS in the first half of 2027. The upcoming title will revive the franchise in a new format, shifting from its original gacha RPG gameplay to an Idle RPG experience.
Originally developed by SHIFT UP, Destiny Child ended its seven-year run after its service was discontinued. Plans to bring the franchise back were announced in 2024, and Com2uS has since taken over the project, with development handled by TikiTaka Studio, a studio under the company’s umbrella.
Although the new game previously experienced delays, the latest announcement suggests that preparations are progressing toward its planned release window.
First Teaser Introduces the Resurrection Flower
Alongside the release window announcement, Com2uS launched the game’s official website and released its first teaser video.
The teaser features the Resurrection Flower, an important object in Destiny Child lore associated with the ability to bring the dead back to life. Its appearance serves as a fitting symbol for the franchise’s return in a new form.
The company has yet to reveal extensive gameplay footage, leaving fans waiting for a closer look at how the new title will differ from its predecessor.
Archfiend Candidates Return in a New Adventure
The subtitle Assemble refers to the reunion of the Archfiend candidates from the original game. Their return will form part of the new story, with character narratives connected to collection and progression systems designed for the Idle RPG format.
Unlike the original game’s active RPG structure, Destiny Child: Assemble is expected to offer a more relaxed and casual experience. However, Com2uS has not yet provided detailed explanations of its combat mechanics, character collection systems, or progression features.
More information about the gameplay and returning characters is expected to be revealed in future updates.
Destiny Child: Assemble Release Window
Destiny Child: Assemble is currently planned for release in the first half of 2027 on Android and iOS. While the announcement marks a significant step forward for the revival project, an exact launch date has not been confirmed.
With a new developer, a different gameplay format, and the return of familiar characters, the upcoming title aims to introduce Destiny Child to both longtime fans and newcomers. Further announcements should clarify how Com2uS plans to preserve the franchise’s identity while adapting it for the Idle RPG genre.
