JAKARTA, Indonesia — May 20, 2026 The highly anticipated international Japanese cultural festival, Djakarta Ennichi 2026, is officially set to return to the capital city under the grand theme “New Chapter” (新章). Recognized as one of Jakarta’s largest Japanese-style matsuri festivals, the event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 23–24, 2026, at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta.
Bringing together the elegance of traditional Japanese culture and the vibrant energy of Jakarta’s modern urban lifestyle, Djakarta Ennichi 2026 aims to become one of the city’s premier cultural and entertainment destinations for the weekend. In line with its commitment to inclusivity and public accessibility, this year’s festival will offer free admission to all visitors.

The festival will also feature the Indonesia Wotagei Battle competition alongside special performances from guest stars and featured artists.
