viviON, the parent company behind DLsite, officially announced a brand-new publishing label called viviON Lab on May 8. The new label will focus specifically on publishing indie games from developers around the world as part of viviON’s broader gaming expansion strategy for fiscal year 2026.
According to the company, viviON is currently investing heavily into growing its gaming division through multiple new initiatives and projects. viviON Lab is described as one of the company’s first major steps into full-scale indie game publishing.
Interestingly, the company stated that the label will not restrict projects based on genre, development team size, or even the developer’s country of origin. This global approach has already attracted attention from indie game fans online.
Two debut titles were immediately revealed under the new label:
Moon Princess
7 Days To Think About It
Moon Princess is a wuxia-themed RPG developed by Chinese studio Egg Hatcher. The game combines child-raising simulation mechanics with martial arts and RPG elements. Players will train and guide the protagonist through daily activities, battles, exploration, and life choices that can lead to more than 50 possible career endings and over 20 different relationship outcomes.
Many players quickly compared the title to Volcano Princess, another well-known game previously developed by Egg Hatcher.
Meanwhile, 7 Days To Think About It takes a much darker direction with a psychological horror experience developed by Italian solo creator silver978 alongside Mankind Games.
The story follows a protagonist whose life feels completely stuck after becoming consumed by anxiety and overthinking. As the character isolates themselves inside their home, the furniture mysteriously changes position every single day, forcing players to remember the original layout while uncovering the psychological mystery behind the situation.
viviON also confirmed that discussions are already underway to add more indie projects into the viviON Lab lineup in the future. Since its first two projects already come from developers in China and Italy, many fans believe the label is aiming to become a truly international indie publishing brand rather than focusing only on Japanese creators.
For release plans, Moon Princess is currently scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in 2026, while a demo for 7 Days To Think About It is already available on Steam.
