Xing Su: New Anime-Style Action RPG Revealed With Fast-Paced Combat and Mecha Enemies

Chinese developer Chengdu Nantang Yu Technology Co., Ltd. has officially revealed Xing Su (星溯), an upcoming anime-style action RPG featuring fast-paced combat, powerful enemies, and a diverse character lineup. Although its official English title has yet to be announced, the game has already attracted attention following the release of its first trailer and boss fight footage.

A World Where the Cycle of Life and Death Has Stopped

According to its official description, Xing Su takes place in a world where the natural cycle of life and death has come to a halt. Players assume the role of a mysterious protagonist known as the “Guide,” who awakens among ruins and joins forces with powerful allies to restore the cycle of reincarnation.

During their journey, players will encounter various threats, including mechanical enemies, dangerous beasts, and human opponents who possess abilities similar to those of their companions.

Three-Character Combat and Tactical Mechanics

The released gameplay footage provides an early look at the game’s combat system. Players can assemble a team of up to three characters, each equipped with unique skills and ultimate abilities.

Combat focuses on close-range attacks, dodging, and parrying incoming enemy strikes, including projectiles. The footage also showcases a stagger system that rewards aggressive combat.

By continuously attacking enemies, players can deplete their stagger gauges and leave them vulnerable to follow-up attacks. This creates opportunities for cinematic finishing moves and potentially powerful attack combinations.

Diverse Character Designs and Japanese Voice Cast

One of the game’s notable features is its character variety. The revealed designs range from human-like characters to kemonomimi figures with animal features and more distinctly anthropomorphic creatures.

The promotional footage also showcases a large humanoid mecha, although its importance to the story and gameplay has not yet been explained.

While most promotional materials are presented in Chinese, a Japanese-dubbed trailer has also been released. The announced Japanese voice cast includes Kurumi Orihara as the protagonist and Saran Tajima, known for voicing Koito Fukumaru in The Idolmaster Shiny Colors.

Xing Su Release Window

Xing Su is scheduled to launch on PC in China during the first quarter of 2028, followed by mobile versions in the second quarter of the same year.

However, the developer has not yet confirmed an international release date or whether the game will become available in other regions. Further details regarding its global launch and supported platforms are expected to be revealed in the future.
