HoYoverse has officially announced that Petit Planet, its upcoming cozy life simulation game, will launch globally on December 4, 2026, for PC, iOS, and Android. The announcement was accompanied by a new release date trailer, giving players another look at the activities and customization features they can expect.
Previously showcased during gamescom 2026 Opening Night Live, the latest trailer focuses on preparing for a picnic date. Players can explore the surrounding environment to gather resources such as flowers, wood, and seashells before arranging their picnic setup.
The footage also highlights character customization, allowing players to experiment with different hairstyles, colors, and outfits. Cooking is another featured activity, with detailed animations showing the preparation of various dishes.
Build and Personalize Your Own Planet
HoYoverse describes Petit Planet as its first cozy galactic life simulation game. Players take on the role of a Planet Tender, responsible for developing and customizing their own planet by collecting resources, decorating homes, and transforming the surrounding landscape.
Beyond planet development, players can enjoy various everyday activities, including farming, fishing, bug-catching, beachcombing, and cooking. The game also introduces fuzzy Neighbors, characters with distinct personalities and personal stories.
Players can develop relationships with these Neighbors through activities such as exchanging gifts, sharing meals, offering assistance, and taking leisurely walks together.
Explore the Starsea and Meet Other Players
Exploration is another important part of Petit Planet. Players can travel beyond their home planets by sailing across the Starsea, discovering new locations, collecting materials, encountering unusual creatures, and meeting additional characters.
For those interested in multiplayer interactions, the game also features the Galactic Bazaar. This shared gathering space allows Planet Tenders to trade items, play games, participate in creative activities, and interact with other players.
Petit Planet Release Platforms and Availability
Petit Planet will launch as a free-to-play title on December 4, 2026. The game will support cross-progression, allowing players to continue their progress across supported platforms.
PC users will be able to download the game through the Epic Games Store or HoYoverse’s official client. Meanwhile, mobile players can access it through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
With its combination of planet-building, everyday activities, exploration, and social features, Petit Planet aims to offer a relaxing life simulation experience in a colorful galactic setting.
