Spring to Life Update Drops March 25th
The first 2025 game drop, titled Spring to Life, is set for release on March 25th. This update revisits and revamps Overworld biomes, adding unique blocks, mob variations like Cold Cows and Cool Chickens, and ambient sounds, such as desert winds and wolf personalities. Firefly bushes with glowing particles bring more life and interactivity to your builds.
Minecraft Movie Teaser + In-Game Event
Fans got a sneak peek of A Minecraft Movie releasing in theaters on April 4th. To celebrate, Mojang is hosting an in-game live event starting March 25th with movie-inspired minigames and an exclusive cape reward.
Introducing Vibrant Visuals
A massive visual upgrade called Vibrant Visuals will launch first on Bedrock devices. This update brings enhanced lighting, realistic shadows, pixelated reflections, and glowing textures—without affecting gameplay. Your worlds will look more epic while keeping that classic Minecraft charm.
Ghast Evolution: Dried Ghast to Happy Ghast
The next game drop teased the introduction of Dried Ghasts, found in the Nether’s Soul Sand Valleys. These blocks can be rehydrated in water, eventually hatching into Ghastlings and then Happy Ghasts—friendly, rideable mobs that let you fly through the sky. With support for up to four players and a new Locator Bar to find friends, building mega-structures in Survival has never been easier.
