The BanG Dream! franchise has released a short video featuring “God’s Blood,” a new song by Ave Mujica, from the animated movie Ave Mujica prima aurora. The film is currently screening in Japanese theaters, while the track is also included in the band’s latest mini-album, scheduled for release on October 21.
Animation production for Ave Mujica prima aurora is being handled by Nichicaline, the studio also associated with BanG Dream! Yume∞Mita. The movie continues the franchise’s approach of combining original music with character-driven anime storytelling, giving Ave Mujica another opportunity to showcase its musical identity.
Ave Mujica previously headlined the television anime Ave Mujica: The Die Is Cast, which premiered in January 2025. The series was animated by Sanzigen and directed by Kodai Kakimoto, introducing viewers to the band’s darker themes and the complicated lives of its members.
The story centers on Sakiko Togawa, whose life changes dramatically after she loses everything in a single night. Seeking a new direction, she draws other girls into a world shaped by their personal struggles, desires, and hidden emotions. Together, they form Ave Mujica, a group built around elaborate performances and carefully maintained identities.
The anime explores themes of sorrow, fear, love, death, and the masks people wear to conceal their true selves. Its dramatic atmosphere and psychological character conflicts distinguish it from more conventional music-focused anime.
The franchise is also preparing for another television installment. A sequel titled ** BanG Dream! MyGO!!!!! // Ave Mujica ** is scheduled to premiere in January 2027, continuing the connected stories of the two bands.
With “God’s Blood” now receiving its own promotional video, fans can experience another part of Ave Mujica’s musical world while the movie remains in Japanese theaters. The upcoming mini-album will provide a further opportunity to hear the track outside the film.
As BanG Dream! continues expanding through anime, theatrical releases, and music projects, Ave Mujica remains an important part of its evolving universe. Further information about international screenings and the January 2027 sequel may be announced in the future.
