JAKARTA, May 20, 2026 — The biggest international Japanese cultural festival in the capital city, Djakarta Ennichi 2026, is ready to open a “New Chapter” with a grander and more immersive experience. Taking place at Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta on May 23–24, 2026, this free-entry festival is committed to bringing an authentic Japanese matsuri (summer festival) atmosphere to visitors across Indonesia.
Unlike typical pop-culture festivals, Djakarta Ennichi 2026, initiated by Connext Japan, highlights the harmony between traditional Japanese culture and local culture. Visitors will not only enjoy stage entertainment, but also experience Japanese traditions firsthand through various cultural installations and interactive attractions inspired by real festivals in Japan.
