Pokémon GO has finally answered a long-standing request from Trainers: the debut of Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta will take place during Pokémon GO Fest 2025. Since their original release in 2021, players have been asking for these alternate, more powerful forms—now, they’re officially arriving with a game-changing mechanic.
From Heroes to Crowns: The Transformation
Up until now, only the “Hero of Many Battles” versions of Zacian (Fairy-type) and Zamazenta (Fighting-type) have been available. But as seen in Pokémon Sword and Shield, these Legendaries achieve their true potential when transformed into their Crowned forms, gaining Steel-typing and exclusive moves.
