The hype for Call of Duty Warzone’s Verdansk return is real, but not everyone is excited. A well-known Call of Duty player has issued a warning: Verdansk could be a disaster unless Activision addresses the ongoing anti-cheat issues.
Cheaters Ruined It Before—Will It Happen Again?
Warzone’s original Verdansk map was plagued by hackers, with aimbots and wallhacks running rampant. While Ricochet, Activision’s anti-cheat system, was introduced later, many players feel it’s still ineffective.
Nadeshot shares his thoughts on the upcoming return of Verdansk in Warzone, saying without anti-cheat updates, it won’t change anything.

One Call of Duty streamer recently stated:
“There’s no integrity, Nadeshot argued. “Somebody is always cheating, the network sucks, or the game is broken.”
Many fans agree, fearing the return of game-breaking exploits that previously forced players to quit.
Activision’s Next Move is Critical
With the OG map making its way back to Warzone, the pressure is on Activision. If anti-cheat improvements aren’t made, the game could face another mass exodus of frustrated players.
Will Verdansk thrive, or will cheaters ruin the fun again? Time will tell.
