Sony has confirmed that PlayStation titles Ghost of Yotei, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, and Astro Bot will be featured at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2025. While Astro Bot is last year’s award-winning PS5 exclusive, Ghost of Yotei and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls are two of the most anticipated upcoming PlayStation console exclusives.

TGS 2025 Event Details

The long-running Japanese video game exhibition Tokyo Game Show will take place from September 25–28, 2025, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Ahead of the event, multiple major gaming companies have confirmed attendance, with Sony being among the most notable.

After showcasing a wide lineup at TGS 2024, Sony is back this year to spotlight some of its biggest titles. According to the official Japanese PlayStation Blog, the company’s preliminary lineup consists of:

  • Ghost of Yotei (PS5) – the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, set to release October 2, 2025.

  • Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls (PS5, PC) – a Marvel-inspired 4v4 fighting game.

  • Astro Bot (PS5) – a beloved platformer, returning at TGS for families and casual audiences.

Booth Access & Schedule

  • Ghost of Yotei and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls will be playable at Sony’s PlayStation booth, available only to industry professionals on September 25–26.

  • Astro Bot will be part of the Family Game Park, which is open to the public on September 27–28.

Sony also confirmed that more titles and schedules will be announced as TGS 2025 draws closer.

Why It Matters for PlayStation Fans

This announcement ensures that fans can look forward to first hands-on impressions of Ghost of Yotei just days before launch, alongside new insights into Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. For players who miss out on Marvel Tokon’s September closed beta, TGS 2025 could reveal crucial details about gameplay and mechanics.

Industry Competition at TGS 2025

Sony won’t be alone in drawing attention. Capcom has also confirmed attendance with blockbuster titles like Resident Evil Requiem, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and the long-awaited Pragmata. With multiple major developers bringing their biggest franchises, TGS 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting editions in years.
