A dedicated fan and Guinness World Record holder, Ian Roomasa, has recreated the entire map of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim using an astounding 73,761 LEGO bricks. The monumental build brings to life one of gaming’s most iconic open worlds in stunning, brick-by-brick detail.

Veteran fans of Skyrim know that the province of the same name is massive—covering nearly 15 square miles of explorable space. It’s the fifth largest map in the Elder Scrolls franchise and is divided into nine distinct holds, each with unique terrain, landmarks, and lore. Ian Roomasa wasn’t deterred by this complexity. Instead, he embraced it with passion, committing over three years to bring this vision to life through LEGO.

3 Years, 73,761 Bricks, and One Epic Build

Ian’s LEGO Skyrim map is nothing short of a technical and artistic marvel. The entire project spanned more than three years, with the first nine months dedicated to planning and the next two and a half years focused on building.

“Skyrim was a world I lived in for years. I wanted to create something permanent that reflected its depth and scale,” said Roomasa.

The finished piece measures 8 feet wide and 6.3 feet tall, designed as a raised relief map constructed in 44 layered sections to reflect Skyrim’s unique topography. Major cities like Whiterun, Solitude, and Windhelm are placed with careful precision, while mountain ranges and rivers rise and flow with remarkable accuracy.

Every Hold and Landmark in LEGO Form

Roomasa’s recreation includes everything from the frozen peaks of Winterhold to the forests of Falkreath, carefully color-coded and built for elevation. Every major hold capital, mountain range, and terrain feature is represented. The effort even accounts for Skyrim’s many points of interest—dungeons, ruins, and paths.

With LEGO used as the medium, the map resembles a topographical model, almost like a real-world atlas—except it’s made entirely from interlocking plastic bricks.

Praise From the Gaming and LEGO Communities

Since its debut online, Ian’s LEGO Skyrim map has earned widespread praise across social media, Reddit, and YouTube. Fans are astonished by the scope, detail, and dedication it represents. The build is being hailed as one of the most impressive fan tributes to Skyrim to date.

Some fans are even calling for it to become part of an official LEGO Ideas campaign or gaming museum exhibit.

Ian Roomasa’s 73,761-brick LEGO Skyrim map is more than just a fan project—it’s a love letter to one of the greatest RPGs of all time. It highlights not only Skyrim’s enduring legacy, but also the limitless potential of fan creativity. Whether you’re a LEGO enthusiast or a lifelong Dragonborn, this breathtaking build deserves your attention.
