The RE franchise is beginning its journey toward its 30th Anniversary, and Capcom is kicking off the celebration with a breathtaking new piece of commemorative artwork. This illustration highlights several of the series’ most beloved protagonists, while also giving fans an early taste of what’s to come as the milestone draws near.

Capcom Prepares for the Anniversary

Capcom has officially launched a new RE 30th Anniversary webpage (visit here), which will serve as a hub for upcoming celebrations. While the anniversary won’t officially begin until 2026, the publisher is already laying the groundwork with special reveals, the first being a striking artwork piece that gathers the franchise’s leading heroes.

The artwork embraces an Art Nouveau style, depicting characters seated regally on thrones, with subtle nods to the monstrous threats they have faced throughout the years.

Heroes and Villains on Display

The newly revealed anniversary artwork showcases:

  • Leon S. Kennedy – accompanied by imagery of Mr. X, his relentless pursuer from Resident Evil 2.

  • Claire Redfield – depicted with a Licker lurking menacingly behind her.

  • Jill Valentine – with ominous references to the terrifying Nemesis from Resident Evil 3.

  • Chris Redfield, Ada Wong, and Grace Ashcroft – the franchise’s newest protagonist making her anniversary debut.

Each character design reflects their most recent remake appearances, enhanced with a high-fashion twist. Gold filigree and ornate accessories give the heroes a regal yet battle-hardened presence, blending modern elegance with iconic survival horror imagery.

Resident Evil Requiem Builds Excitement

The timing of this reveal comes as hype continues to grow for RE Requiem, the next main-series installment in Capcom’s legendary horror franchise. The game’s latest trailer premiered at Gamescom Opening Night Live, where early hands-on impressions were largely positive.

RE Requiem is set to launch just ahead of the official 30th Anniversary of the original 1996 title. With Capcom already teasing special projects and commemorations, fans can expect this milestone to be packed with surprises.

A Legacy of Survival Horror

For nearly three decades, Resident Evil has defined the survival horror genre, captivating fans with its mix of tension, atmosphere, and unforgettable characters. From the Spencer Mansion to Raccoon City and beyond, the franchise has expanded across video games, films, TV, and merchandise — making it one of Capcom’s most celebrated series.

The 30th Anniversary artwork serves as both a tribute to its history and a glimpse into its exciting future. Whether these designs remain purely promotional or hint at upcoming projects remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the road to 2026 will be filled with thrills for fans worldwide.
