Hour-long gameplay videos of Phantom Blade Zero have surfaced online, giving fans the clearest look yet at what’s to come from this highly anticipated ARPG. Developed by Chinese studio S-Game, Phantom Blade Zero is an upcoming wuxia action RPG powered by Unreal Engine 5, known for its fast-paced, cinematic combat and gritty dark-fantasy aesthetics. The game is currently in development for PlayStation 5 and PC, with a targeted release window in 2025, though industry insiders suspect a final launch may occur in 2026.
Originally announced during the 2023 PlayStation State of Play, Phantom Blade Zero has been described by its developers as a genre-blending experience, merging elements of soulslike gameplay, hack-and-slash combat, and traditional martial arts storytelling. Until now, fans had only seen short gameplay snippets or isolated boss fights — but that has changed.
In a significant update, multiple YouTube channels, including GamersPrey, have uploaded 50 to 60-minute gameplay videos of Phantom Blade Zero. These new uploads showcase real-time combat, environmental traversal, and enemy variety in much greater depth than ever before.
The footage was captured during S-Party, a private two-day event held by S-Game in Beijing on July 26–27, 2025, where select players, creators, and media were invited to test a demo build of the game. Attendees were given permission to record and upload their playthroughs, leading to an unexpected but welcome surge of interest from the wider gaming community.
With its fluid animations, richly stylized world, and strategic boss battles, Phantom Blade Zero continues to stand out in a crowded field of action RPGs. If the final release lives up to what’s shown in these leaked demos, S-Game could have one of the biggest breakout hits of the generation.
