Neverness to Everness, the newest open-world gacha title developed by Hotta Studio and published by Perfect World Games, officially launched globally on April 29, 2026 for PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile platforms.
Within its first week, the game generated highly mixed but very active discussions across the gaming community, with many players praising its visuals, urban fantasy atmosphere, and exploration systems despite ongoing debates surrounding other aspects of the game.
Financially, however, the launch appears to have been extremely successful.
According to a company stock report published on April 30, 2026, Neverness to Everness reportedly generated around 100 million Yuan in revenue during its very first day alone. This equals approximately $14.6 million USD.
The report also revealed that:
- Japan and the United States became the game’s largest revenue contributors
- South Korean performance exceeded company expectations
- and roughly 75% of total revenue came from PC and PS5 players rather than mobile users
This platform distribution especially surprised many observers, since most modern gacha games still rely heavily on mobile spending as their primary source of income.
The strong PC and console performance has led some analysts and players to compare Neverness to Everness to the growing trend of “AAA-style” gacha games designed to attract both traditional console gamers and mobile audiences simultaneously.
Despite the game’s commercial success, community discussions around Neverness to Everness remain highly active due to controversies involving alleged AI-generated assets, monetization concerns, and comparisons with other anime-style open-world titles.
At the same time, many players continue praising the game’s highly detailed NPC designs, city atmosphere, and stylized presentation, which helped the title go viral across social media shortly after release.
With such a strong launch performance, Perfect World Games and Hotta Studio now appear positioned to continue aggressively supporting the game through future updates, new characters, and live-service content expansions.
