Ubisoft Milan’s creative director, Davide Soliani, who led the development of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, has expressed his willingness to return to the series if Nintendo reaches out.
During a recent interview, Soliani stated that while Ubisoft currently has no plans for another Mario + Rabbids installment, he would gladly take on the challenge if given the opportunity. He emphasized his love for the characters and the unique blend of strategy and adventure the series offers.
The Mario + Rabbids games received praise for their tactical gameplay and charming crossover between Nintendo’s universe and Ubisoft’s Rabbids. Despite the sequel, Sparks of Hope, underperforming commercially, it was well-received by critics and fans alike.
Nintendo has yet to confirm any plans for a new entry in the franchise, but Soliani’s enthusiasm suggests that if the call comes, he’s ready to answer. Until then, fans of the series will have to wait and see what’s next for these quirky heroes.
