The company’s FY2024 earnings report, published on April 30, 2025, shows a staggering 11.4% year-on-year growth, bringing total revenue to 36.63 billion yen—approximately $250 million USD.
This surge comes on the heels of a relentless release schedule and a strategic focus on both core franchises and fan-favorite surprises.
A Lightning-Fast Start to 2025
Kicking off 2025 with a bang, Koei Tecmo released five games in just the first quarter. Leading the charge was Dynasty Warriors: Origins, a franchise reboot that made waves among longtime fans and newcomers alike. Shortly after, the company launched Warriors: Abyss, a creative roguelike spin-off that kept the Musou momentum going.
The publisher stunned audiences during Xbox’s Developer Direct by shadow-dropping a Ninja Gaiden 2 Black remaster while also officially revealing Ninja Gaiden 4, one of the most anticipated sequels in the action genre.
