November 18, 2025

Light Novel “Killed Again, Mr. Detective? (also known as Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama) Officially Receives Anime Adaptation

The light novel series “Killed Again, Mr. Detective?”, or “Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama,” has officially been announced to receive an anime adaptation. The project will be handled by LIDENFILMS, the same studio that previously worked on “Yofukashi no Uta Season 2” (Call of the Night Season 2), which aired for 12 episodes from July 4 to September 19, 2025.

Story Synopsis:

The series follows Sakuya Otsuki, the son of a legendary detective who aims to follow in his father’s footsteps alongside his assistant, Lilithea. However, Sakuya is far from an ordinary high school detective—wherever he goes, he somehow ends up becoming the victim in his own cases. While assigned to infiltrate a luxurious cruise ship, Sakuya is once again killed. But every time he opens his eyes, Lilithea is there beside him, ready to help him unravel the mystery behind his repeated deaths.

In addition, the anime adaptation of “Killed Again, Mr. Detective?” is scheduled to premiere in April 2026. The broadcast is expected to run for 12–13 episodes, though there is a possibility that the series could extend to 24–25 episodes, depending on production decisions at the time of airing.
