Popular VTuber Hoshimachi Suisei from Hololive Production has been confirmed to collaborate with the popular battle royale game Fortnite, with the event scheduled to begin on March 13, 2026.
The news first surfaced after the official Fortnite account posted a Mercury planet emoji on X (formerly Twitter) on March 8, 2026. The post quickly caught the attention of fans, especially after Suisei herself responded to it, fueling speculation about a potential collaboration.
Alongside the announcement, a new promotional visual was also released. The illustration shows Suisei holding a microphone stand and standing beneath a starry night sky. The artwork highlights her identity as a virtual singer who has gained recognition through numerous music releases and performances.
According to early information, Suisei-themed items are expected to appear in the Fortnite Item Shop starting March 13. These items will likely include in-game cosmetics such as character skins, accessories, or other themed content inspired by the VTuber.
There are also indications that the collaboration may include a special emote connected to one of Suisei’s songs. Some fans speculate that the content could be linked to the concept of “Star City,” a theme frequently associated with her musical identity.
However, the full details of the collaboration have not yet been officially revealed. More information is expected to be announced closer to the release date.
Fortnite has become widely known for hosting major collaborations and virtual concerts featuring global music artists. Over the years, performers such as Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Ice Spice have appeared in large-scale virtual performances within the game.
Japanese musician Kenshi Yonezu has also held a performance inside the platform, further demonstrating how Fortnite has evolved into a digital entertainment hub combining gaming, music, and pop culture.
Collaborations with virtual characters are also nothing new for Fortnite. In January 2026, VTuber pioneer Kizuna AI launched an original world titled “KizunaAI Hello, Fortnite” and announced plans for a free in-game concert scheduled for March.
Meanwhile, the iconic Vocaloid character Hatsune Miku has previously appeared through music content in Fortnite Festival, including playable songs within the rhythm-based mode.
Given Fortnite’s history of hosting virtual music events, some fans speculate that Suisei’s collaboration might go beyond cosmetic items and could potentially include a virtual concert inside the game. However, official confirmation regarding such an event has not yet been announced.
Fans will likely have to wait for further details from Epic Games as the collaboration date of March 13 approaches.
