Hollow Knight: Silksong will reportedly be priced at $19.99, according to a newly surfaced retailer listing that appears to have revealed the information ahead of schedule. The same price tag is expected to apply to all versions of the game.
Following over half a decade in development, Hollow Knight: Silksong finally received a release date during Gamescom 2025, with Team Cherry confirming a September 4 launch. However, the Australian studio has remained silent on the game’s pricing — until now.
That silence may have been broken by GameStop, which recently opened pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch edition of Silksong at $19.99. The listing, first spotted by Reddit user E1338, suggests the upcoming indie sequel will be only slightly more expensive than its predecessor, which launched at $14.99.
While Silksong has already been confirmed for the Switch 2, the GameStop listing refers to a standard Switch physical version, which will also be compatible with Nintendo’s next-gen console. As of now, no other editions or platforms have been listed on the retailer’s site, making it possible the page went live prematurely.
At a $19.99 price point, Hollow Knight: Silksong would sit firmly within the premium indie tier, balancing accessibility for fans while reflecting the expanded scope of its sequel. If this leak proves accurate, players on PC, Switch, and other platforms can expect the same fair price across the board.
