Developed by Sunblink Entertainment, this major content pack enriches the beloved island life simulator with new friendship mechanics, furniture customization, and a chilly new region to explore.
Originally released on Apple Arcade in July 2023, Hello Kitty Island Adventure expanded to Nintendo Switch and PC in January 2025, broadening its fanbase. Now, Sunblink has kicked off post-launch updates with fresh content designed to deepen player engagement.
The update first landed on Steam on April 29 and was expected to come to Switch on May 22. However, Sunblink surprised players by releasing it early on May 14 via a Twitter announcement.

Among the update’s highlights is a revamped gifting system that makes building friendships more rewarding and transparent. Gifts now yield more friendship points depending on the hearts they contain, and inconsistent NPC reactions have been smoothed out for better gameplay flow.
Decorators will enjoy the new furniture stacking feature, allowing items to be placed on top of tables in Edit Mode. This opens exciting possibilities for more personalized and cozy cabin designs.
Explorers get a treat with Blizzard Peak and Snow Village — a new icy area featuring a fresh storyline centered on a quirky weather machine. Players can also tackle the Chilly Chambers, sliding puzzles that offer both fun and rewards.
Additionally, a new collectible called Sparkles has been introduced, appearing randomly and redeemable for game tickets, adding an extra layer of excitement.
