Juni 19, 2025
Shallot from Dragon Ball Legends revealed as DLC for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO

Bandai Namco Entertainment just shocked fans with a surprise reveal trailer confirming that Shallot, the original Saiyan protagonist from Dragon Ball Legends, is officially joining the roster of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. This marks Shallot’s first-ever appearance outside of the mobile-exclusive title — and outside of Japan.

🚀 Shallot Joins the Fight June 26

According to the reveal, Shallot will be available as part of a new DLC pack starting June 26, 2025. Players who own the Season Pass will gain early access to Shallot starting June 23 — a full 72 hours ahead of the general release.

The update is another sign that Bandai Namco and developer Spike Chunsoft are doubling down on post-launch content support for the fast-growing arena fighter.

🧬 Who Is Shallot?

Originally introduced in 2018’s Dragon Ball Legends, Shallot is a time-displaced Saiyan created exclusively for the mobile title. His popularity among fans has steadily grown over the years, and many have long requested his inclusion in console titles.

This DLC marks the first time Shallot will appear in a Dragon Ball game outside of mobile platforms, making it a landmark moment for both Legends fans and Sparking ZERO players.

🧩 Pricing and Content Details

While Bandai Namco has not yet confirmed the exact pricing for the Shallot DLC, previous downloadable content can give fans a rough idea:

  • The Daima Character Pack featuring 11 characters was priced at $9.99.

  • The Pre-Order Pack included Goku (Mini) and early unlocks for various fighters.

Since Shallot appears to be a solo DLC fighter, pricing might be lower than the Daima pack — or potentially bundled with other upcoming content.

At launch, Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO already boasted a massive 180+ character roster. With the addition of DLC packs and updates, the playable cast has since grown beyond 200, making it one of the most content-rich entries in Dragon Ball fighting game history.

Upcoming content like the Dragon Ball Daima DLC pack, paired with surprise drops like Shallot, proves that the game is not slowing down anytime soon.
