Fans of Cyberpunk 2077 have long hoped for a third-person camera mode to be added to the game, offering a fresh way to experience Night City. Recently, CD Projekt RED has officially responded to these requests, confirming that there are currently no plans to implement a third-person perspective in future updates.

A third-person mode could bring a new lease of life to the sci-fi RPG, but the developer made it clear that adding such a feature would require significant work. Despite earlier rumors that Cyberpunk 2077 updates had come to an end, CD Projekt RED has consistently surprised players by releasing substantial new content over the years. The recent Cyberpunk 2077 2.3 update has reignited player interest, providing yet another reason to dive back into the immersive world.

The developer’s response, spotted by TheGamer, came after a fan post on X (formerly Twitter) requested the addition of a third-person camera mode. CD Projekt RED replied simply, “we have no such plans,” signaling that while the feature isn’t currently in development, it isn’t completely off the table for the distant future if priorities shift.

For now, fans should temper expectations but remain hopeful, as the studio’s continued commitment to Cyberpunk 2077 updates means the game’s evolution is still ongoing—just without a third-person perspective for the moment.
