A new leak may have just given fans their first real look at Battlefield 6‘s rumored Battle Royale mode, suggesting that EA and DICE are preparing to take another shot at the genre. While not officially confirmed, the details—first shared by reliable Battlefield data miner @temporyal—are compelling enough to spark serious discussion among the fanbase.

Leak Hints at a Mode Called “Battlefield Royale”

According to a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), temporyal claims to have reconstructed the rumored Battle Royale map for Battlefield 6, allegedly named Lyndon Beach. The map features several points of interest like:

  • Fort Lyndon

  • The Docks

  • The Valley (mentioned twice in the leak)

  • A potential metro system

The mode is reportedly being referred to internally as “Battlefield Royale”, although that title may not be final.

Not Available at Launch?

Despite the excitement, the Battle Royale mode may not be available at launch. If the rumored Battlefield 6 release date of October 10, 2025 holds true, then players may have to wait until sometime in 2026 to jump into the new mode.

Firestorm 2.0?

This isn’t the Battlefield franchise’s first brush with Battle Royale. Fans may remember Firestorm, the Battle Royale mode introduced in Battlefield V. While visually impressive, it failed to leave a lasting impression. With Battlefield 6, however, EA appears to be taking a more measured approach—possibly learning from past missteps by delaying the mode’s release for additional polish.

Metro System & Destructibility?

Temporyal also teases scattered references to a metro system embedded in the map files, though it remains unclear whether this feature will be functional. Given Battlefield’s legacy of destructible environments and large-scale maps, fans are hoping that this new mode can finally rival the likes of Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite.

EA and DICE Remain Silent

As of now, EA has not officially confirmed the inclusion of a Battle Royale mode in Battlefield 6. However, the increasing number of leaks and datamines suggest that something big is indeed in development.

With Battlefield 6 shaping up to be a major return for the franchise, a well-designed Battle Royale mode could significantly broaden its appeal. If the rumors are true, Battlefield Royale might be a delayed but welcome addition to the series in 2026.

Stay tuned for more official updates from EA and DICE as we move closer to launch.
