The latest update from the anime adaptation of The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System (Tsuihou sareta Tensei Juukishi wa Game Chishiki de Musou suru) has revealed a new musical addition. Tokoyami Towa, a VTuber from Hololive, has officially been announced as the performer of the opening theme for the anime’s second cour.
The new opening song, titled “Rewrite the Answer,” will accompany the next chapter of Elymas’ journey. The second cour is scheduled to begin with Episode 14, which is set to air on Thursday. The anime is planned to run for a total of 26 episodes, continuing the story following the events of its first cour.
Produced by Studio GoHands, The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System combines several genres, including action, adventure, fantasy, isekai, reincarnation, and video game-inspired elements. Tokoyami Towa’s involvement adds another notable connection to the series, particularly for viewers who also follow Hololive.
The story follows Elymas, a young man born into a family with a long tradition of swordsmanship. At the age of 15, he undergoes the Divine Blessing Ritual, which determines the class that will shape his future.
However, the ritual gives Elymas the Heavy Knight class. In his world, Heavy Knight is considered an undesirable class because of its perceived weaknesses and limitations. As a result, Elymas loses his position as the expected successor to his family and is eventually exiled after being viewed as a disgrace.
His circumstances begin to change when Elymas discovers a crucial secret about the world around him. He realizes that the environment he lives in is connected to a game he played during his previous life.
With memories and knowledge from his former life, Elymas learns that the Heavy Knight class actually possesses tremendous potential. Rather than being a failed class, it can eventually become one of the most powerful options available.
Armed with this information, Elymas refuses to accept the fate imposed on him. He begins exploiting his knowledge of the game’s systems to strengthen himself and demonstrate that the decision to dismiss the Heavy Knight class was based on a fundamental misunderstanding of its true potential.
