Fans of the iconic trading card game franchise are in for a treat this fall. A brand-new television anime adaptation titled Battle Spirits [Re] Zekkai no Ku has officially been announced and is set to premiere on October 6, 2026. Alongside the release date confirmation, the production staff revealed an exciting preview trailer and key visual to showcase what lies ahead.
Animation production will be handled by Bandai Namco Pictures, the renowned studio behind previous iterations in the franchise. Blending elements of adventure, fantasy, sci-fi, military strategy, and mythology, the upcoming series aims to capture the high-stakes tactical card battles that have defined the IP for nearly two decades.
First launched back in 2008, the Battle Spirits card game universe centers on strategic duels featuring summons represented as powerful dragons, demons, mythical birds, insects, and ancient spirits. The franchise has built a rich animated legacy over the years, with its most recent major adaptation, Battle Spirits: Mirage, debuting in 2021.
With its return to the television screen this October, Battle Spirits [Re] Zekkai no Ku promises to deliver a fresh strategic experience for longtime veterans and new players alike.
