Nyalra, the creator of the popular psychological adventure game Needy Girl Overdose, has addressed the recent controversy surrounding the leaked episode details and story information for the upcoming anime adaptation. During a recent interview, the game creator shared his perspective on what led to the unexpected disclosure, while also discussing his current relationship with the anime production.
According to Nyalra, the incident was the result of a misunderstanding between himself and the production side. When asked why episode titles and story-related information had been revealed ahead of schedule, he explained that there had been a communication breakdown involving Aniplex. He stated that the situation escalated because both parties were not on the same page regarding what information could be discussed publicly.
Nyalra further claimed that he was eventually removed from the anime production team following the disagreement. While he did not provide specific details about the decision-making process, he suggested that his involvement with the adaptation ended after the communication issues arose. His comments have sparked discussion among fans who were surprised to learn that the original creator is no longer participating in the project’s production.
In addition to discussing his departure, Nyalra also claimed that he has not yet received compensation related to the anime adaptation license. According to his statement, payment for the licensing agreement has not been completed, becoming another point of concern he raised during the interview. However, he did not elaborate on whether negotiations between the parties are still ongoing or if the issue has reached a legal stage.
The comments quickly attracted attention across the anime and gaming communities, with many fans expressing concern over the reported situation. Some have called for additional clarification from the production committee, while others have voiced support for the original creator, emphasizing the importance of recognizing creators’ contributions when adapting successful games into anime series.
At the time of writing, Aniplex has not publicly responded to Nyalra’s statements regarding the alleged miscommunication, his removal from the production team, or the licensing payment issue. As a result, the claims currently represent Nyalra’s account of the events, and no official confirmation has been issued by the production committee.
The upcoming Needy Girl Overdose anime remains one of the most anticipated game adaptations among fans. Many viewers are now waiting for further updates from both the production staff and Nyalra to gain a clearer understanding of the situation surrounding the adaptation and its development.
