So… things got a little chaotic in the Stella Sora community recently. Yostar Korea had to step forward and issue an apology after players noticed something very questionable in the animation of a new character, Fuyuka.
What Happened?

When Fuyuka uses her ultimate skill, there’s a moment where she makes a pinching gesture with her fingers. Sounds harmless, right? Well… not in Korea. A lot of players immediately pointed out that the gesture looks almost identical to a well-known hand sign that implies “small penis.”
Yeah. That one.
And once the comparison started spreading, the outrage followed fast.

Yostar’s Response
To calm things down, Yostar Korea made a public statement explaining that the animation wasn’t meant to reference anything inappropriate. According to them, the gesture was created by an overseas artist, and there was zero intention behind it besides looking cool in the cutscene.
Still, they acknowledged the complaints and said they’re considering revising the animation in a future update.
Why This Became a Big Deal
Korea has had multiple controversies over similar hand gestures in media and games, so the community reacts very strongly when something even resembles that symbol. It’s one of those cultural sensitivity things that can blow up fast—especially when a game has a big local playerbase.
The Bigger Picture
This whole situation shows how tricky it can be for global studios. A pose that seems normal to an artist in one country might be a loaded symbol somewhere else. When you’re dealing with animations, emotes, or hand signs in a popular game, even tiny details can spark huge conversations.
Final Thoughts
Yostar did the right thing by reacting quickly and addressing the backlash head-on. Whether or not the animation gets changed, the situation is a reminder that cultural awareness matters a lot in game development—especially in regions where certain symbols carry heavy meaning.
