Bandai Namco Entertainment Officially Announces Digimon Alysion for 2026 Release

Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially confirmed that Digimon Alysion will launch for mobile devices in 2026. The game is being developed as a digital adaptation of the physical Digimon Card Game, allowing players to collect Digimon cards, build their own decks, and battle against other players online directly from their smartphones.

Unlike the physical version of the card game, Digimon Alysion will introduce several digital-exclusive features. These include animated Digimon evolutions, faster and more streamlined battles, and visual effects specifically designed for the mobile experience. Bandai Namco also confirmed that the game will feature original cards, brand-new Digimon, and entirely new characters created specifically for the project.

Interestingly, the story of Digimon Alysion takes place in the same universe as the web manga Digimon Liberator. Just like the manga, the game’s narrative will focus heavily on the world surrounding the Digimon Card Game itself, leading many fans to expect connected lore, overlapping characters, and story references between the two projects.

According to Bandai Namco Entertainment, the development team is still actively improving multiple aspects of the game ahead of release. Confirmed updates include:

redesigned user interface improvements

direct PvP battles with friends

expanded language support

and overall gameplay refinements

Some fans were already able to experience an early version of the game during a beta test held in late 2025, but this marks the first time the official release window has been publicly clarified.

The year 2026 is shaping up to be especially busy for Digimon fans. Previously, Bandai Namco Entertainment also announced DIGIMON UP, another new mobile RPG planned for release this year. In addition, post-launch DLC support for Digimon Story Time Stranger is still ongoing.

This means fans could potentially receive at least two major new Digimon mobile games within a relatively short period of time.

Alongside the release announcement, Bandai Namco also confirmed a physical starter deck themed around Digimon Alysion scheduled for release in December 2026. The deck will include cards directly connected to the mobile game itself.

Because of this strong tie-in between the digital and physical versions, many fans now speculate that Digimon Alysion will likely launch sometime before — or at least close to — the end of 2026 to align with the starter deck release schedule.
