The official website for Vertex Force, the upcoming original anime project created by director Kazuhiro Takamura, has recently revealed that the series is scheduled to premiere in October 2026.
Alongside the broadcast announcement, the production team also introduced the anime’s first main character, Haruka Tōdō. She is described as a 16-year-old high school student from Okinawa who has an innocent personality and exceptional physical abilities. Her reveal immediately attracted attention from anime fans curious about the direction of the new project.
Kazuhiro Takamura is widely known for his work on popular anime such as Strike Witches and Vividred Operation, both of which became recognized for combining cute character designs with action-heavy sci-fi themes and mechanical elements.
When Vertex Force was first announced, Takamura openly shared his personal passion for “cute girls, cool mecha, and anime,” stating that the original project was created by combining everything he personally loves into one series.
Because of that statement, many fans are already expecting the anime to deliver a mix of stylish mechanical action, energetic heroines, and strong visual fanservice similar to Takamura’s previous works. The newly revealed key visuals and character information also suggest that the project may continue the director’s signature style of blending military-inspired sci-fi themes with colorful anime aesthetics.
As an original anime production, Vertex Force has also sparked curiosity regarding its worldbuilding, mecha designs, and potential story direction, since there is currently no existing manga or game source material connected to the project.
With its October 2026 release window now officially confirmed, anime fans are expected to receive more character reveals, trailers, and story details in the coming months as anticipation for Vertex Force continues to grow.
