April 12, 2025 — The highly anticipated historical action RPG, Where Winds Meet, has officially locked in its global release window for late 2025, targeting PC and PlayStation 5. Developed by Everstone Studio and backed by publisher NetEase Games, the game has already made waves in China and is now preparing for its international debut.

Worldwide Launch After China Success

Where Winds Meet first launched in China on PC in December 2024, followed by a mobile port in January 2025. The title received strong reception locally, prompting Everstone Studio to announce its global rollout across Western markets. A new trailer accompanied the announcement, offering stunning views of the in-game world and showcasing its fast-paced martial arts combat.

Closed Beta Test Set for May

Along with the release news, developers confirmed that closed beta playtests will be held from May 16 to May 19, 2025, on PC and PS5. Registration is open from April 10 to May 15 via the official website. However, these tests will only be available to players in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Korea.

It’s worth noting that:

  • This is a closed beta—players must register and wait for email confirmation.

  • No progress from the beta will carry over to the final game.

  • Exclusive in-game rewards and even a lucky draw are being offered to beta testers who complete certain challenges.

A Deep Dive Into the Game

Set during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period in 10th-century China, Where Winds Meet follows the journey of a young martial artist exploring a richly detailed open-world map. The game combines:

  • Deep role-playing mechanics

  • Martial arts-inspired combat

  • Lore-rich historical storytelling

With its unique blend of action, history, and cinematic Wuxia influence, Where Winds Meet stands alongside other major Chinese-developed titles like Black Myth: Wukong and Phantom Blade Zero as a major export from the country’s rapidly growing game industry.

With its immersive open-world, stylish combat, and authentic historical backdrop, Where Winds Meet is one of 2025’s most exciting titles. As the beta approaches, players can finally get a taste of what this martial arts epic has to offer before its full global release.

Don’t forget to sign up for the closed beta before May 15 and stay tuned for more gameplay reveals, community updates, and global launch news.
