A popular light novel is set to receive its highly anticipated anime adaptation titled Secrets of the Silent Witch (Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto). The series follows the story of Monica Everett, a top-tier mage known for her extraordinary magical abilities and her extreme shyness. Despite being one of the most powerful mages of her generation, Monica prefers to stay out of the spotlight.
The plot centers around Monica’s secret mission, assigned to her by Prince Felix Arc Ridill of the kingdom. She is tasked with spying on a well-known noble student within the royal academy. In order to carry out this covert operation, Monica must work behind the scenes in the student council office a daunting task for someone as shy as her. Her true identity as the Silent Witch is known only to Prince Ridill, while her peers remain completely unaware of who she really is.
The anime is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 00:00 JST. While the official episode count has not yet been confirmed, it is expected to run for either 12–13 episodes, or potentially extend to 24–25 episodes depending on the adaptation’s scope.
Studio Gokumi, known for its work on titles such as I’m Getting Married to a Girl I Hate in My Class (Class no Daikirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta), which aired earlier this year from January 3 to March 21, 2025, will be handling the animation production. That series wrapped up with a total of 12 episodes.
