The event, titled “Might and Mastery Finale: Strength in Numbers,” will run from Tuesday, May 20 at 12:00 a.m. PT to Thursday, May 22 at 12:00 p.m. PT, giving Trainers just over two days to complete a special community-based task.

This latest global challenge takes a different approach compared to previous raid-focused events. Instead of battling, Pokémon GO players will need to send gifts to one another—a feature that strengthens the community spirit and encourages daily interaction between friends.
To make this easier, Niantic has increased the daily gift-sending limit to 50 during the event window. This adjustment ensures that players can contribute more meaningfully toward reaching the global goal.

If players successfully complete the challenge as a global community, they’ll unlock the ability to send free Special Research tickets to friends for the upcoming May 2025 Community Day Classic, which features the fan-favorite Machop.
