The highly anticipated action RPG Lost Soul Aside has been hit with another delay. Originally slated for release on May 30, 2025, developer Ultizero Games has now confirmed the game will launch on August 29, 2025, giving the team three more months to refine the final product.
The announcement came via the game’s official X (Twitter) account, where Ultizero CEO Yang Bing explained that the delay was necessary to “polish the game” and ensure it meets the studio’s quality standards. The game director also reassured fans that they remain “committed to delivering a high-quality game experience.”
A Long-Awaited Journey
Lost Soul Aside has had a long development history. First conceived in late 2014 and revealed to the public in 2016, the game caught the attention of Sony, which brought it under the China Hero Project—a program aimed at supporting Chinese indie developers. Since then, the project has evolved into a visually stunning, action-packed adventure headed to PlayStation 5 and PC.
Back in February 2025, the studio released the official PC specifications, which raised anticipation as fans began preparing for the long-awaited release. With its blend of fast-paced action, cinematic storytelling, and high-end visuals, the game has been one of the most discussed titles coming out of China’s growing game development scene.
Developer Commitment
Yang Bing emphasized that fan feedback has been instrumental in driving the team to enhance the game’s quality. While the delay may be disappointing for those counting down to May, the studio’s transparency and dedication have been generally well received.
“Thank you for your continued support and understanding,” the statement read. “We look forward to delivering an experience that exceeds your expectations.”
What’s Next?
With the new August 29 release date now set, Ultizero Games is expected to release additional gameplay updates and previews in the coming months. Players can look forward to a more polished and optimized experience on both PS5 and PC platforms.
