Skybound Games and developer Quarter Up have officially revealed Invincible VS, an upcoming 3v3 fighting game based on Robert Kirkman’s popular comic book and Prime Video series, Invincible. The game was unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase on the third day of Summer Game Fest 2025, hosted by Geoff Keighley.
Originally teased in 2024 with a crowdfunding campaign, Invincible VS has now entered the spotlight with a full gameplay trailer showcasing intense tag-team battles. The footage revealed fan-favorite characters like Omni-Man, Lucan, Thula, Atom Eve, and Rex Splode, all engaging in high-octane combat against Mark Grayson, aka Invincible.
Slated for a 2026 release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, the title pays homage to classic fighting games like Marvel vs. Capcom, with 3v3 matches, tag mechanics, and possibly assist features — though the latter has yet to be confirmed.
The trailer gives fans their first real taste of gameplay, and it doesn’t disappoint. With stylish combos, unique character abilities, and fast-paced action, Invincible VS is shaping up to be one of the most exciting new entries in the superhero game genre.
Skybound’s creative director Robert Kirkman also confirmed earlier this year that development was progressing steadily, building anticipation for what could be the definitive Invincible gaming experience.
With Invincible‘s universe packed with powerful heroes, brutal villains, and emotionally charged storylines, a fighting game is the perfect format to bring these characters to life in interactive form.
