In celebration of National Creative Economy Day (Hekrafnas) 2025 and in support of Jakarta’s position as a global city and a showcase for international creative and entertainment activities, the Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Government, Mataloka Live, and Sound Rhythm, initiated a special promotional activity featuring HYDE exploring Jakarta Heritage aboard the Transjakarta Open Top Tour Bus.
The event took place on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 5:00 PM WIB, as part of the promotional series for “HYDE [INSIDE] LIVE 2025 JAKARTA,” scheduled for November 1, 2025, at Tennis Indoor Senayan.
The tour bus showcased the “OktoberKreasi” livery — the tagline of the 2025 Hekrafnas celebration held annually on October 24 — and featured exclusive content themed “Toward 500 Years of Jakarta.” This narrative highlighted Jakarta’s historical, cultural, and creative evolution leading up to its 500th anniversary in 2027.
Purpose and Impact
This city tour initiative aims to generate positive impacts in several areas:
-
Strengthening the creative economy, leveraging the global exposure of a world-class artist and the momentum of an international concert;
-
Promoting urban tourism, by highlighting the Jakarta Heritage route and destinations;
-
Enhancing Jakarta’s global image as a creative city ready to welcome its 500-year milestone.
A representative from the Ministry of Creative Economy / Creative Economy Agency stated.
“This cross-sector collaboration shows how music, tourism, and the creative economy can strengthen one another. HYDE’s presence serves as a catalyst to promote Jakarta as a world-class creative stage,” said Deputy Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar.
Irene further added, “The ‘Toward 500 Years of Jakarta’ narrative celebrates both the city’s heritage and its future. This tour invites the public to see Jakarta through a new, creative, inclusive, and sustainable lens.”
M. Dermawan Pradana, CEO of Mataloka, expressed, “Today’s event enriches the promotional series for HYDE’s concert. We’re thrilled to offer an experience that connects the energy of the stage with the charm of the city.”
Ahmad Satrio from Sound Rhythm emphasized, “Our synergy with the Ministry, the Provincial Government, and Transjakarta makes this promotion more meaningful — not just entertainment, but a celebration of Jakarta’s creative ecosystem.”
HYDE also shared his appreciation, saying, “Thank you, Jakarta, for the warm welcome. I’m truly inspired by the stories and culture of this city.”
HYDE appeared delighted to see his concert poster displayed on Indonesia’s First Robotic Videotron, owned by @8infiniooh, at Bundaran HI, Jakarta — an impressive, immersive, and dynamic showcase. He expressed gratitude to Mataloka, Sound Rhythm, and 8infini Advertising for their outstanding promotional support and execution.
The Jakarta concert marks part of HYDE’s global tour, known for its modern production and immersive audio-visual experience.
HYDE — the legendary vocalist of L’Arc-en-Ciel, VAMPS, and THE LAST ROCKSTARS — is set to rock Jakarta in “HYDE [INSIDE] LIVE 2025 WORLD TOUR.” The performance on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Tennis Indoor Senayan will be HYDE’s only show in Asia during the 2025 world tour — a rare and historic moment for Japanese rock fans in Indonesia.
Jakarta’s selection as the sole Asian stop underscores HYDE’s appreciation for Southeast Asian fans, especially in Indonesia, home to one of the strongest and most loyal J-rock communities. With no other Asian dates in this tour, Jakarta becomes a must-visit destination for fans from across the region.
HYDEISTS can expect a high-energy night featuring HYDE’s iconic vocals, stunning stage visuals, modern arrangements, cinematic lighting, and special moments crafted exclusively for Jakarta.
