Epic Games has just dropped exciting news for fans of both Fortnite and Avatar: The Last Airbender. As confirmed in a recent Twitter announcement and the State of Unreal presentation on June 3, Avatar: The Last Airbender will return to Fortnite in 2026, but this time in a game-changing way.

Rather than simply offering new skins or limited-time events like the first collaboration, Epic Games is giving players the power to create their own Avatar-inspired experiences using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). This new approach marks a significant evolution in how Fortnite collaborates with major franchises.

🌍 Build Your Own Avatar World in Fortnite

With the 2026 update, creators will gain access to official Avatar: The Last Airbender tools within UEFN. These will enable fans to design custom maps, quests, and character interactions that bring the Four Nations to life—from Ba Sing Se to the Southern Water Tribe.

This shift reflects Epic Games’ growing emphasis on user-generated content, empowering players to not only experience content but to build it themselves. During the presentation, Epic noted that this move was driven by popular demand, signaling that the first Avatar collaboration was a major hit among fans.

🤖 AI Tools Also Coming to Fortnite

This announcement follows Fortnite’s recent Galactic Battle mini-season, which introduced an AI version of Darth Vader capable of full conversations with players mid-match. Epic Games also revealed plans to expand AI-powered character tools in the Unreal Editor—meaning fans could one day interact with AI-driven Aang, Zuko, or Toph inside their own custom games.

While no firm release date was shared, Epic confirmed that players can expect access to the Avatar tools sometime in 2026.
