Xbox players and indie game fans have something exciting on the horizon. During the June 8 Xbox Games Showcase, Double Fine officially announced Keeper, a brand-new IP launching worldwide on October 17. The game will be available on Xbox consoles, PC, PS5, and will also debut day one on Xbox Game Pass.
What Is Keeper?
Keeper is a third-person atmospheric adventure game that boldly tells its story without any dialogue. Set on a post-apocalyptic island long abandoned by humanity, players take control of an unusual protagonist: a sentient lighthouse that has sprouted legs and learned to walk.
Driven by a mysterious purpose, the lighthouse embarks on a journey across the island toward a mountain at its center. Along the way, it forms a partnership with a bird companion, and together they must solve puzzles and overcome environmental challenges.
Creative Direction by Lee Petty
The game is being directed by Lee Petty, a longtime Double Fine creative known for his work as lead artist on Brutal Legend. Petty’s signature surreal aesthetic and storytelling style are front and center in Keeper, blending striking visuals with quiet emotional resonance.

According to the game’s official Steam page, Keeper will feature:
