Call of Duty has done it again — and this time, the new Mastercraft gun inspect animation is so over-the-top, it’s left fans laughing, cringing, and scrambling to see it for themselves.
In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4, players who equip the Arcade Champ Mastercraft Ultra Skin for the FFAR 1 Assault Rifle are treated to one of the most absurd and entertaining inspect animations yet. During the animation, the gun literally transforms into a full-blown arcade game, complete with pixelated fighting robots and on-screen prompts.
Arcade Action Meets Assault Rifle
In a viral clip shared by CharlieIntel, the inspect sequence begins with an “INSERT COIN” prompt, followed by the sudden appearance of a robotic fighting game — projected from your gun. The Operator then uses the FFAR 1 as a joystick, mashing buttons to control a robot in a mini fighting game sequence. The whole thing ends with your robot KO’ing the opponent with a combo move — and yes, it’s all part of the inspect.
This absurd spectacle is tied to the “Combo” Mastercraft Blueprint from the Arcade Champ Tracer Pack, which also includes a cel-shaded skin for Toro called “The Champ.” It’s pure fan service — and pure chaos.
Part of a Bigger Season 4 Package
The inspect animation is just one standout feature from the new Season 4 content, which includes:
-
Over 100 cosmetics in the Battle Pass
-
A playable crossover Operator based on Ana de Armas’ character in Ballerina
-
Tracer Packs with unique visual and sound effects
-
The Outlook, a towering new POI in Downtown Verdansk ideal for long-range snipers
Activision seems to be doubling down on high-impact cosmetics that blend nostalgia, pop culture, and sheer absurdity — and it’s working. Social media is buzzing, and players are sharing inspect clips like they’re highlight reels.
Fans React to the Ridiculous Inspect
Some players love the arcade twist, praising its creativity and animation quality. Others find it hilariously immersion-breaking.
“Bro, I’m playing Tekken with my gun now?? This is next-level stupid — and I kinda love it,” one player joked on Reddit.
“Imagine getting sniped because your dude was busy playing Street Fighter mid-fight,” another replied.
Despite the divided opinions, it’s clear that Call of Duty is no longer just about gritty realism — it’s about entertainment.
The Arcade Champ Mastercraft inspect animation in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is easily one of the most ridiculous and creative additions to the game in years. Whether it’s a hit or a hilarious misfire, it’s proof that Call of Duty continues to push the boundaries of what players can expect from a first-person shooter.
Love it or hate it, one thing’s for sure — you’ve never inspected a gun like this before.
