Bandai Namco Unveils Little Nightmares III and Digimon Story: Time Stranger Demo at AFA ID 2025

Juni 9, 2025

At the recent AFA ID 2025 (Anime Festival Asia Indonesia), Bandai Namco Entertainment captivated fans by showcasing two highly anticipated titles: Little Nightmares III and Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Attendees were treated to exclusive hands-on demos, revealing new features and character details for both games, set to launch in 2025.

Little Nightmares III Introduces Online Co-Op for the First Time

One of the biggest highlights at the event was the 15-minute playable demo of Little Nightmares III. While the game retains the signature eerie atmosphere and puzzle-platform mechanics of its predecessor, Little Nightmares II, the newest installment introduces a game-changing feature: online co-op multiplayer.

Players assume the roles of two new protagonists:

  • Low, who wields a bow and arrow and specializes in exploration and agility.

  • Alone, equipped with a giant wrench, focuses on strength-based interactions and puzzle-solving.

The dynamic between the two characters introduces fresh gameplay elements that emphasize teamwork and role-based problem-solving. While the full release date is yet to be announced, Little Nightmares III is confirmed for a 2025 launch.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger — A New Chapter Begins

Also drawing attention at the Bandai Namco booth was a mini-exhibit for Digimon Story: Time Stranger. Visitors were treated to an immersive visual experience with cinematic trailers and appearances by classic Digimon such as Patamon, Gomamon, and Picodevimon.

In a notable departure from past entries, the game features female twin protagonists, Dan Yuki and Kanan Yuki, a first for the Digimon Story series, which traditionally centered on male leads. The new storyline also places greater focus on human characters, particularly those of the Human race, offering a fresh narrative approach.

Despite the excitement, Bandai Namco clarified that Time Stranger is still in active development. The demo showcased promising elements, though the team is currently addressing technical issues and bugs before confirming a final release date—also set for 2025.
