A Chill Fan Interview with Ado: Real Talk, Music, and Being Herself

Januari 3, 2026

On October 26, 2025, one of our team members got a really special chance—a private interview with Ado. It wasn’t a big press event or a super formal setup. Instead, it felt more like a relaxed fan-to-artist conversation, where honest questions and real answers could flow naturally.

We kicked things off with a question many fans have wondered about for a while.

Question: “So… is it true that you’re only into women?”
Ado: “Yeah, that’s true. I think I’ve already posted about it on Twitter before, right?”

She answered casually, like it was no big deal. There was no awkwardness at all—just confidence. It was clear that this is simply a part of who she is, and she’s totally comfortable with it.

Then we moved on to her music journey.

Question: “Were you ever a band vocalist?”
Ado: “I’ve stepped in as a vocalist for a band before, but I’ve never officially joined one. I really prefer working solo. If I debuted as part of a band, there would probably be a lot of drama, and honestly, that’s not my thing.”

That answer said a lot. Ado values peace and freedom in her work. Going solo wasn’t about standing out—it was about avoiding unnecessary stress and staying true to herself.

Of course, we couldn’t skip talking about her legendary studio habits.

Question: “Is it true that you sometimes push your agency to record like 10 to 30 songs at once?”
Ado: “Yeah, that’s true. If I record a lot at once, I can relax for a while afterward. And I really love writing my own lyrics more than having someone else do it.”

You could really feel her passion here. Music isn’t just a job for Ado—it’s something she enjoys deeply, especially when it comes to writing lyrics and expressing her own thoughts.

Toward the end, we went back to the first topic with a more personal angle.

Question: “Some people think liking women comes from bad experiences with men. Is that true for you?”
Ado: “That’s kind of a weird assumption, honestly. I don’t have any trauma related to men. I like women because it feels right to me. It comes from liking myself, not from pressure or past experiences.”

Her answer was calm, honest, and mature. She didn’t sound defensive at all—just clear about who she is and what she feels.

By the end of the interview, it didn’t feel like we had just talked to a famous singer. It felt like we had talked to a real person—someone who knows herself well, cares deeply about her music, and isn’t afraid to be honest with her fans.

That’s what made this interview special. No filters, no drama—just Ado being Ado
