NetEase Games has officially confirmed that its highly anticipated free-to-play urban open-world RPG, ANANTA, will launch globally on January 15, 2027. The title will feature full cross-platform support across PlayStation 5, PC (including Steam), iOS, Android, and cloud platforms.
Alongside the release window, a new trailer highlighted “Chongxiao,” a second major in-game city inspired by real-world Shanghai and Hangzhou. In contrast to the futuristic aesthetic of Nova City, Chongxiao blends traditional Chinese design with a modern metropolitan skyline. Players will be able to swap between characters with distinct urban professions—such as food delivery couriers, safety inspectors, and hackers—each featuring unique combat styles and locomotion mechanics.
Early PC hardware requirements for ANANTA recently surfaced on its official Bilibili landing page, providing an initial baseline for desktop performance (note: these specs remain preliminary prior to final confirmation on Steam):
Minimum System Requirements (1080p / Low Settings)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i5-9400F / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- RAM: 16 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB)
- Storage: 40 GB SSD
- DirectX: Version 11
Recommended System Requirements (High Settings / Ray Tracing)
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K / AMD Ryzen 9 9900X
- RAM: 32 GB
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
- Storage: 100 GB SSD
- DirectX: Version 11
While the minimum hardware targets remain accessible for entry-level gaming rigs, pushing high fidelity or ray tracing will demand a significant hardware leap to 32 GB of RAM and high-end GPUs like the RTX 3080. Mobile storage targets and performance specs for iOS and Android are expected to be revealed closer to launch.
